Top tips to keep your property in tip top condition – part 7

Now that the weather is improving and it’s beginning to feel like spring might really be round the corner, it’s time to get outside and assess all the external timber on and around your property.

Many properties, especially in and around Rossendale, have replaced their timber framed windows with modern PVCu, and no longer need to worry about painting and varnishing the timber. But if you do have timber framed windows, either in your property or an outhouse or garage, they do need regular maintenance. As does any timber work around the eaves of the property. Are the bargeboards timber? Do they need a bit of TLC?

Take a look all around the property. Make a list of where timber still exists, and the condition it is in. If it is starting to look worn or faded, then resolve to get it updated before it’s too late.
